With heavy hearts we announce the death of Philip Reid Sawyer, 73, of Milford Bay, ON, who passed away on March 6th, 2025 after a brief illness.
Reid was an avid golfer, a talented musician, and a lover of classic cars. Always quick with a joke, he was a great storyteller who enjoyed cards, cribbage, pool, and darts.
Reid's life took him many places, and his story and sense of humour touched many lives, but he always considered Muskoka to be his home. Reid is predeceased by his parents Lynn and Sylvia Sawyer of Milford Bay, ON. He is survived and will be missed by his 'first' wife Bonnie Borchardt (Harold), his children Debra Mann (William), Tom Sawyer (Cheryl), and Sarah Lancaster (David), siblings Scott Sawyer and Vicky West, and his beloved grandson Myles Sawyer.
Reid's family wish to express their gratitude to the exceptional staff members at HIRO's Ravenda House and Bradford Valley's Simcoe and Garden Houses.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Reid's memory to Head Injury Rehabilitation Ontario or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A Spring graveside service will take place at St. Mark’s Cemetery. Details will be shared at a later date.
