Parker, Phyllis Lula (née Poyntz) Passed away at home in Port Carling on June 2. Predeceased in 2005 by Rex Parker, her beloved husband of 63 years. Mourned by her children Ranny (Linda), Lois (Donald Ross), and Mary Ann (David Colville-Reeves). She will be missed by her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and also by her nieces and nephews and their families. The family is grateful beyond words to Dr. Kent Phillips for his steadfast and loving care, and to all those who helped to see her through her last days, the wonderful and skilled people from Seniors for Seniors and the CCAC nurses. Mother was well known in Toronto and in Muskoka for her leadership in the community, at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, the Granite Club, and the Muskoka Lakes Association, and her activity in other organizations too numerous to list. Memorial service to be held at Port Carling United Church on Tuesday June 5th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation.
