RONALD BURCHMORE
September 13, 1926 - September 07, 2018.
This was quite a guy....gentle, kind, loving, funny, independent, generous, helpful and strong to the end.
To all of us he was our Uncle Ronnie, to his friends on the street in Bracebridge he was known as Cowboy. He loved the rodeo and outdoors and embraced his life living on the road with his van as his home. He worked hard to take care of himself, joined the Quebec Militia to protect our country and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He could never pass a stranger without saying a word and especially loved to giggle and coo to children and babies.
He has left us with many memories like having his favorite lunch (beans and wieners) on the shore of the River and waving at each and every boat that went by...dancing in the barn...spending his day trimming trees and raking leaves...joining in a country music song by playing his spoons...loving his sister, Doe.
In this new adventure of his he will meet up with his sisters Doreen, Pat and Joyce. He is survived by his brother Norm who will just have to catch up later.
Ronnie will lie with his sister Doreen and family in Sudbury. Plans for a celebration will be made and shared with family and friends at a later date. In the meantime, embrace his life with your own memories and stories.
