Ronald M.F. Hammond February 12, 1934 - April 14, 2016 Ronald Morley Fraser Hammond passed away peacefully at The Pines after suffering a broken hip and the complexities that arise after surgery. Ron was the son of the late Harold Roy Hammond and Marjorie Viola Hammond (Peacock). Brother of; Iona (Art Bowyer (d)), Orvil (Fran), Carol (Bob Fowlie (d)) Vern (Dorothy), Gary (Maurene), Paul (Shirley) and Pennie. Uncle of 17 nieces and nephews. Ron was a long time employee of Hammond Transportation and Muskoka Transport. A very dedicated chauffeur to his Mother Marjorie until her passing in 1999. He lived all his life in Bracebridge in the Hammond family homes on Woodchester Avenue and Hiram Street, His many talents included artistry and music. He was well known for his sense of humour, money management and his memory for names and places. As your expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, The South Muskoka Hospital Foundation or the Bracebridge United Church. Arrangements entrusted to Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel", Bracebridge. Ron's service will be held at the Bracebridge United Church on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. Interment George Kirk Memorial Cemetery. There are families who lose members at a young age through heart disease, cancer or accidents. Our family seems to live long, careful but anxious lives. "May you rest in peace Ron; Your Struggle is Over"
