Roy Gibbs

GIBBS, Roy Delbert—The lone piper played at the Gates of Heaven and my Dad heard the call. Roy Delbert Gibbs, at the age of 92, passed away peacefully at The Pines in Bracebridge on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. He leaves behind his five children, Elizabeth, Albert, Rodney, Karl and Elaine. Also his grandchildren, Alana, Mark. Nathan, Kevin, Jeffrey, Michael, and Patrick, as well as six great grandchildren. Our Dad was a strong man, and his time on Earth was well spent. From his carpentry days   building beautiful cottages on Lake Muskoka, tending to the vegetable gardens at the family house on the hill. He always loved a good corn roast at the end of the summer with friends and family in the backyard.  Let's not forget those bagpipes. He was the town piper and played at many town events and weddings in the Muskoka area. You could often see him playing his pipes at the falls in Bracebridge, just for pure enjoyment on a beautiful Summer’s evening.

Dad, the time has now come for you to be reunited with Mom in eternal peace.  May Amazing Grace be with you on your journey.  Forever in our hearts.  Love, your family.
