Ruth Meeks

Ruth Myrtle Meeks (Colson) at 103 passed away peacefully at her home in Bracebridge with her family by her side in the early hours of August the 19th. As usual Ruth liked to start her day at the crack of dawn, and this time it was to complete her journey to her beloved Jim. Beloved daughter of the late Mary Jane (Frow) and Alfred Colson. Beloved sister of the late Percy, Walter (Thelma), Lily (Bob), Sadie (Jack), Hazel (Ted), Violet (Harold), Ethel (Archie), and Grace. Beloved wife of the late Jim Meeks. Loving mother of Alvin (Betty),and Lorna. Predeceased by daughter Lois and son Gerald and son-in laws Len & Jim. Beloved grandmother of Jamie (Laura), Cathy (Jack), Trudy (Doug), Susan (Allan), Sherry, Debbie (Ken), Derek, Darryl, Kenny, Greg (Terri), Jeff (Laurie), Jo-Anne (Richard). Beloved great grandmother of Kenny, Stephanie,Mark,Melissa, Laura, Victoria, Devin, Natasha, Holly, Ryan & Nicole. Beloved; great,great grandmother to many. She was always our book of knowledge, keeping up to date on current events, politics, and most importantly anything that we needed to know about family. Friends will be received at Reynolds Funeral Home 'Turner Chapel' on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church at 1:00 p.m. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
