Sandra Beaumont

BEAUMONT, Sandra Jean (nee Gliddon)– passed away peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital in Huntsville, on Saturday January 8th, 2022, at age 82. Sandra was pre-deceased by her husband, Max, of 54 years. Loving mother to Shawn (Sandra), Daryl (Lucille), Monica (Jason) and Tim (Amanda).  She is the proud grandmother to Katelynn, Jacob (Kathryn), Cassie, Kristina (Nick), and Mason. And a great-grandmother to Michelle and Joey. Predeceased by her brother Jim Gliddon.

Sandra was born in St. Thomas, Ontario. As the daughter of a doctor and surgeon, she pursued an education and career in nursing, practicing in Toronto, British Columbia, and Bracebridge. During her time nursing in Toronto, Sandy met Max. They were married in 1963 and settled on Max’s family farm in Bracebridge.

Sandy was a member of local community groups including Probus Club, Order of the Eastern Star, and an active Lady Shriner. Sandy was devoted to the St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, spreading joy and love through her time as a Sunday School Teacher, her contributions to Messy Church and with the Anglican Church Women’s Group.

Many thanks to the staff and caregivers at Castle Peak Retirement Home, where she has lived since leaving the family farm in 2019. The family would also like to acknowledge the dedication of the doctors and nursing teams at both South Muskoka Memorial Hospital and the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital.

In keeping with Sandra’s wishes, a Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, in Bracebridge, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. A Private Family Service will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at St. Thomas Anglican Church. A Graveside Service will be held in the spring of 2022, at St. Thomas Cemetery, Bracebridge.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Visitation will be conducted in half-hour intervals. All MUST RSVP with all names of those attending in their party. Please RSVP below for your desired timeslot.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bracebridge St. Thomas' Anglican Church or to the Shriners Hospital for Children and can be arranged through Reynolds Funeral Home. Messages of condolence may be shared on Sandra's Tribute Wall.
