LeBlanc, Shari RN (Sharon Arley Dixon)
Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 13th.
In Shari's own words:
"I lived well. I loved with all my heart and I was loved back. I was happy. It was a good life I got to live.
I'm so lucky to have met Mike 26 years ago - every minute with him has been full of love and laughter. He has supported and looked after me always and without hesitation. I love you always. Our beautiful and courageous children, Jill and Tom, were always the brightest spot in my life. You will be in my heart always and I'll be with you, I promise.
To my mom - the best - Carolyne Dixon, my father, the late Gordon Dixon, my sisters Janet (Pete Kohse) and Laurie (Steve Ashbee) and the beautiful children of my heart Hilary and Valerie: I have a beautiful family and I'm grateful. To all the cousins, cousins who aren't cousins, uncles and aunts - thank you for our time together.
To the health team at MAHC - thank you! We do good work. All your kindness never goes unnoticed. Love your work as I did. It has been an honour to nurse in this community.
Take care world. I'll be flicking the lights on and off to say hi! Be happy and be loved. It's not the worst to leave on a high note - to leave them wanting more."
A celebration of Shari's life will take place at South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club on Sunday, September 23rd, from 1-4 pm.
A Go Fund Me account has been set up to establish a scholarship in Shari's name for BMLSS graduates to encourage and support those who wish to pursue a career in nursing. If you'd like to donate, please go to www.gofundme.com and search for ‘Shari LeBlanc.' Donations will also be accepted at Shari's Celebration of Life.
"There are very few problems, I've found, that can't be cured with a cookie."
