S/Sgt William John Davidson (Ret’d)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William (Bill) Davidson on Monday, March 7, 2022, at the age of 88.
He is survived by his loving wife Alvira (Alva).
He also leaves to mourn his children, Douglas (Angy) of Scotland, Catherine (John) Edison of Perth, Glenn of Nova Scotia, Murray (Tracey) of Wawa, and his brother Leo of Barrie.
His seven grandchildren Richard, Angela, Shannon, Michael, Jade, Jasmine, Serenity, four great grandchildren Erin, Lex, Connor, and Charlie, and two step-grandchildren, Zak and Kayda will miss him terribly.
Bill also leaves his brothers-in-law, Alan and Larry Skidmore and Jim Granger and many, many nieces, and nephews.
Pre-deceased by his parents John and Clara, brothers, Eugene, Jim, Murray, Bob, Paul, and sisters, Teresa, Pat, Fran, Betty, and Kathleen.
Bill had a long and varied career in the RCMP during which he served from Vancouver BC to St. John’s and Goose Bay NL. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus (Life member), the Royal Canadian Legion and a parishioner of St. Joseph RC parish. Bill was a dedicated blood donor, loved walking and camping. He had a great sense of humour and was renowned for his dry wit.

KofC and Legion services will be on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bracebridge Legion. Funeral mass will be at St Paul RC church in Gravenhurst at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022, with a reception following at the Bracebridge Legion.
