Stanley Rodger Boswell, known to everyone as "Boz," passed away peacefully in his home in Bala, Ontario on August 9, 2011 at the age of 61 years. Born March 21, 1950 in Hamilton, Ontario to Stanley John and Florence Olive Boswell, he was the eldest of two children. Boz fell in love with Muskoka, first as a young child coming up to visit his grandparents at their cottage on Lake Joseph and later when his parents purchased their own cottage on Redwood Road on Lake Joseph when he was in his early teens. After completing the Small Engine Mechanic course at Centennial College Toronto, Boz moved permanently to Muskoka where he started out working at local marinas. Later he owned and operated Performance Marine Services on Lake Joseph in Foots Bay. He is survived by his son, James Bradley Joseph, his sister Carolyn Dubé (Rick), four nieces and nephews and four great nieces. Boz will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A service will be held at the Torrance Cemetery on Friday August 19th, 2011 at 4pm. All are welcome to attend a reception following the service at Roger's son's home at 1029 Carl's Road in Glen Orchard. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of choice.
