Thomas (Tom) Edward Cooper

April 30, 1947 – March 17, 2025

Thomas (Tom) Edward Cooper passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital. Tom's life was defined by a deep love for his family, hard work and a commitment to leadership.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 56 years Susan Cooper; his daughters, Amy Doyle and Melissa Anders; his sons-in-law, Patrick Doyle and David Anders; and his five grandchildren: Owen, Eric, and Wyatt Doyle, and Maggie and Alice Anders; and his sister, Ann Di lorio, and her husband, Tony.

Tom was born in Brampton, and he was the son of Lenard and Doris Cooper. Tom met Susan in high school, and they married in 1969 building their lives together in Georgetown, Brampton, Etobicoke, and enjoying retirement in both Palm Harbor Florida and in a home they enjoyed building together in Utterson.

Professionally, Tom dedicated over 50 years as a real estate sales representative first at A.E. LePage then worked at Jones Lang LaSalle where he retired. He completed over 8 million square feet of leasing deals and was recognized for his expertise and integrity. He took great pride in his work, was committed to excellence, and served as a mentor to many.

Outside of work, Tom treasured time with his family and being "in the north," whether it was ripping across the lake, fishing for the big one, giving the golf ball a good whack, tractor rides or enjoying BBQ dinners with his family.

We will carry him in our hearts for the love he gave, the memories we shared, and the growth he inspired.

A Memorial Gathering to Celebrate Tom’s life will take place on Saturday, March 29, from 2-4pm at the Reynolds Funeral Home, 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge; with a time to share memories at 3pm.
