Bill S. Wentworth

It is with broken hearts that we the family of William (Bill) Stewart Wentworth, announce his passing on January 23rd, 2025 at Andy’s House in Port Carling, Ontario.

Bill was born in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on February 14th, 1938 to the late William J. and Abigail Wentworth. 

Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joan Wentworth (nee MacLennan), daughter Carolyn Wentworth-Little (Frank Little) and son William (Sandy) Wentworth, all of Bracebridge.

Beloved Grandfather of Leavon Peleikis (Callista) of Bracebridge and Landan Peleikis (Toronto). Great grandfather to Barrett Peleikis and Abigail Peleikis (Bracebridge).

Brother-in-law and uncle to Angus Campbell (Connie), Bracebridge and the MacLennan clan originating from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and the Veres and Hines families of Orlando, Florida.

Bill was predeceased by his sister Jean Hardy (late Pete) and Stella Hines (late Aubrey)

Bill worked for Bracebridge Hydro until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and getting together with family.

It was a life well lived and he will be missed.

Following Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family on Tuesday, January 28th 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home. The Memorial service will take place on Wednesday, January 29th at 11:00 am at Bracebridge United Church.
