William Hind

July 28, 1925 — August 11, 2014

HIND, William (Bill) Duncan passed away peacefully at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville, Ontario, on August 11, 2014 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Muriel (nee McWhinnie) for 67 years, father to three lovely daughters, Connie Glover (Ken Will) Karen Hind and Judy Hind. Grandfather to Rachel, Erin and Kelly. Great Grandfather to Cody and Priya. Predeceased by his brother Henry (Hap) Hind and his sister Ruth Heath both of Windsor. Survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Dolores Hind of Orangeville. Bill was born in Windsor, Ontario on July 28, 1925. He served his country in World War 2 in the Air Force Marine unit. He then started a career with Air Canada in Windsor and ended it in Mississauga in his mid fifties. He then opened Hind Travel before retiring to Bracebridge, Muskoka where he and his wife bought a piece of property and built their dream home. They had a spectacular retirement in Muskoka and loved and lived in their home for 29 years. They enjoyed many sunny days boating on Lake Muskoka with family and friends but Bill's greatest passions were his gardens and trees and his beautiful ravine property. Cremation has taken place and in his memory his family will be making a donation to Hospice Huntsville. The family wishes to thank Dr. Harold of Hospice for all her loving care and also all the Nurses and PSW's that took care of him during his illness. To perpetuate this care, donations may be made to Huntsville Hospice in his memory. Arrangements entrusted to Reynolds Funeral Home 'Turner Chapel' of Bracebridge.
