William Riselay

RISELAY, William Warren Peacefully passed away on Monday, March 4th, 2013 with his loving wife Doreen Murray-Riselay by his side. Bill was twice blessed. His beloved wife, Barbara, of 47 years predeceased him and was waiting to greet him with open arms in heaven. Bill was born July 13th, 1931 to the late Cranmer E. Riselay and Lucille Ashley (Boag). Caring father and cherished grandfather of Sue, Bob, and James MacDonald, Ken and Donna Murray, Glenn, Janice and Jamie Riselay, Lyn, Rick, Michael, Richard and Lauren Mastroluisi, Rob, Sue, Jacqueline (Derik) and Alex Riselay, Doug, Dorothy and Meghan Murray, Nancy, Doug, Stephen, Rachael, Andrew, Sean and Jessica Holmes. Bill is survived by his sister Margaret, niece Sandra and nephews Allan and Jimmy and predeceased by brother-in-law Al and niece Diane Fournia. Bill loved to talk and engage with people and he used these skills as a long-time car salesman and manager. Bill was a devoted member of the 91st Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, an active member of Chedoke Presbyterian Church and in recent years Knox Presbyterian in Muskoka. Bill was exceedingly proud of his 50 year membership at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club where he shared many happy time with friends and family. Our heartfelt thanks to the CCU staff at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7th, 2013, 7:30-9:00 p.m. and Friday, March 8th, 2013, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. with Memorial Service to follow at 5:00 p.m., all taking place at Chedoke Presbyterian Church, 865 Mohawk Road West, Hamilton. A celebration of life to be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Joseph Street, Port Carling on Saturday, March 30th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chedoke Presbyterian Legacy Fund, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Knox Presbyterian Church in Port Carling or the charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family. Proverbs 17:6: "Children's children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their fathers."
