Shortt, William Frederick "Lawrence", died peacefully at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Monday, June 30th, 2008 in his 78th, year. Beloved husband of Doris Shortt of Utterson. Dear father of Larry (Mary) of Orangeville and Brenda (Allen) Crowder of Powassan. Loving grandfather of David, Victoria, William, Krista, Melissa & Victoria. Great grandfather of Alexis, Matthew, Nicholas, Mikayla and Alexander. Brother of Freda Atkinson, Mervin Shortt and the late Margaret Mahon & Milton Shortt. The family will receive friends at the Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel" in Bracebridge on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The service was held in the Chapel on Friday, July 4th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment St Thomas Anglican Cemetery in Ullswater.
