It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Anne Quigley on October 28th, 2022 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in her 85th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Doug Quigley, loving mother of Karen Tooze (Russ), Debbie Tipple (Paul Nagy), Kevin Quigley (Lucy), and Wendy Kilroy. Proud Nana of Jason Leader (Tina), Jennifer Edger, Scott Edger, Christopher Boake (Danielle Tanguay), Michelle Cameron (Jason Bird), Jacqueline Quigley (Andrew Hutt), Ryan Quigley (Dianna Andrews), Jeremy Kilroy, and great Nana of Jacob, Sierra, Ewan, Sheamus, Beau, June, Sam, and Isaac. Dear Sister of the late Harold Ashberry, Donald Ashberry (Margaret), Ernie Ashberry (Elaine), Diane Randall (Bob), David Ashberry (Nada), and Patricia Ashberry (Rob Traynor) and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
Shirley was born and raised in the Toronto area and moved to Bracebridge in 1982 where she lived for the remainder of her life. Shirley loved special times with her family, and spending time at her seasonal trailer was one of her favourite things to do.
Visitation at Reynolds Funeral Home, 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge on Saturday, November 5th, from 12-1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to remember Shirley at 1 p.m. A reception will follow to continue the sharing of memories and stories. Memorial donations may be made to the Bracebridge Alzheimer’s Society or charity of choice.
